PitTechs / For Legal

AI automation for small law firms.

For firms of one to twenty. A senior engineer scopes the work, at a fixed price agreed in writing before any work starts.

Three workflows we usually build first

  • Search your own closed files. A question system that searches your closed matters and returns relevant documents with the docket numbers and case names, so you can check for conflicts and prior precedent.
  • Turn intake into a structured matter record. New client intake arrives as email or a form. Extract the parties, the date, the issue area, and the facts, then feed them into your practice management system as a new matter with the template attachments already assembled.
  • Assemble documents from your templates. A new matter has the facts and the parties. Assemble the engagement letter, the retainer, the initial client memo, the statute of limitations tracker, and whatever else your template library holds, with the client data and the matter dates already filled in.

What we will not build here, on any budget

  • Legal judgment stays with an attorney. Nothing we build gives legal advice, tells a prospect whether they have a case, predicts an outcome, or clears a conflict. The system surfaces parties and prior matters and an attorney clears it. This is a rule, not a preference, and it does not move for a budget.
  • A date is a flag, not a deadline. We will mark a date in a document that looks like a deadline. We will not compute a limitations period and let the result stand unchecked.
  • Your client's material stays behind the paperwork. No client-facing chatbot on a live matter, nothing that files, serves or sends on its own, and no privileged material before a signed scope and written handling boundaries.

How your data is handled

  • No privileged material before a signed scope and written handling boundaries. Send the shape of the problem. The rest comes after paper.
  • Handling boundaries and an NDA, both in writing before anything sensitive moves.
  • Your records, your infrastructure. Nothing proprietary in the middle. If we disappeared tomorrow, your team picks the work up from where it sits.
  • Read-only and scoped access, never admin credentials, and never before a scope is signed.

If a review finds that the right first move is not software at all, you get that in writing. That happens, and it is a finding rather than a failure.
